Having been open for almost 5 years, the EMM Group has decided to give their original Meatpacking District nightclub Tenjune a facelift. Over the past two months, the club has been refurbished with new designs and lighting by Meatpacking District design firm ICRAVE. In total, the facelift cost EMM Group $400,000 and will be unveiled tonight for the beginning of a 3 day celebration, ending with a performance by rapper Fabolous on Saturday night. Rassi on Mac & Milk

From The Standard Culture website, check out this interview with Rassi as Fashion Week has come to a close. Mazdack Rassi, the founder of Milk Studios, started MAC & Milk four seasons ago as an alternative Fashion Week platform from Lincoln Center. Now, the continuously growing initiative has expanded into The Standard, New York to host shows and has started a website to document and live stream everything MAC & Milk related.

MAC & Milk 2011

Yesterday, WWD announced new partnerships for MAC & Milk, which is beginning to host fashion shows at The Standard, New York's High Line Room beginning this week. In total, MAC & Milk will produce 39 shows at Milk Studios, 20 at Lincoln Center and 39 elsewhere (including The Standard). Another addition this season is “Fashion Week Live!”, which hosts updates on fashion shows, parties and more.

Intermix Coming to the MPD

Intermix has put up preview window coverings at a storefront they just leased at the corner of Gansevoort and Washington Street. The 2,000 square foot store will open up across the street from the High Line entrance and will be joined by additional adjacent stores in the next couple of years. Intermix Meatpacking District is set to open in August 2011.

Honor

Look out for Honor, the women's fashion label designed by Giovanni Randall, opening on February 22nd at 68 Gansevoort Street. The collection will be showed off in a store featuring vintage decor and a small cafe, located where Karkula once was. More info from NY Times.
