"When they first arrive they don't feel like children. If they were in a brothel they had to have a lot of
make-up on. When you take all of the make-up off they smile. They become children again."

Starting next month, The Whitney Museum will start a 3 part outdoor exhibit covering a fence around the lot of land that their future museum is poised to be built, and on the trailers and machinery within it. The site of the exhibit is currently being used by the High Line park as their maintenance facility. The exhibits are by 2 individual artists and one collective of two painters, and each one is in collaboration with a different Whitney curator. Check out the NYTimes article here.
