BY Meatpacking BIDPUBLISHED 10.21.2021

One of the best (and cutest) things to happen each year in Meatpacking is the Annual Doggie Costume Contest. The countdown is on for this year’s contest taking place Saturday, October 30th at 2pm on Little W 12th Street as part of Treats in the Streets.

To recap from years past, let’s take a look back at the winners from 2019:

The winner of the 2019 Doggie Costume contest was Ruth Bader Ginsbark.

Honorable mentions went to…

Humans and pups that dress up together stay together, like this Batman and Joker.

This berry cute pup was too cool for school.

WHAT TO EXPECT FOR 2021:

For this year’s costume contest, expect bigger and better prizes for pups. The grand prize will be an overnight stay at the dog-friendly Gansevoort Hotel!

Special contest judges will be joining us on the stage this year including Courtney Quinn (@colormecourtney), Maxine the Fluffy Corgi (@madmax_fluffyroad), Yuhua Hamasaki (@yuhuahamasaki),and State Senator Brad Holyman (@bradhoylman).

Early registration for pups opens Monday, October 25. Onsite registration will be available until 1:30pm on October 30 on Little W 12th Street.

It’s going to be a paws-itively great weekend!
