On a brick wall at the edge of Gansevoort Street just off Hudson is a mural inspired by the L.E.A.F Festival of Flowers.

Entitled Flourish, the piece was designed and painted freehand in two days(!) by Philadelphia based-artist Lawren Alice (@lawrenalice). The mural is a first for this location and a first for Alice in New York City. Lawren’s whimsical style layers multiple colors into an interconnected floral-like universe, with green drips that evoke vines or rain. There are elements of art nouveau, architecture, and even paisley throughout the work.
