Where
67 Gansevoort St.
Brooklyn-based author and illustrator Nikki Scioscia will share about the process of creating her illustrated book, Sentient Sidewalk: Lessons From New York City’s Wild Medicinal Plants. Next, participants will learn about the traditional, medicinal, and magical uses of three plants that are local to NYC: mugwort, pokeweed, and dandelion. Each plant will be paired with ritual botanical essences by Fat and the Moon and kombucha pours from Brooklyn-based Unified Ferments. As participants experience the pairings, Nikki will provide a journaling prompt related to the energy of each plant and the possibilities of this new year. Remember to bring your journal! The event will take place from 7:30-10 pm.
