Join The Great Elephant Migration to march with the elephants! Celebrate our animal relatives, their roles in preventing climate change and the incredible partners who work daily to solve the biodiversity and climate crises.
Elephants, and many other wildlife relatives, are natural buffers to climate change. They not only play a role in carbon storage in forest ecosystems, but they also support ecosystem biodiversity.
Elephant families are matriarchal; each herd is led by an older, experienced female. She is the wise decision maker, the fierce protector, the compassionate guide and caregiver. In times of crisis, matriarchs form circles around vulnerable members of their community. Working in unison, they safeguard their sisters, keeping them from harm and even protecting them from predators.
The Great Elephant Migration twins each elephant with a human matriarch who works tirelessly to support all aspects of our mission. Together we will honor the elephants, their matriarchs, and the organizations fighting for climate and human/wildlife coexistence.
