Title: Digital + Social Media ManagerMeatpacking District Management Association  |  Contract  |  Immediate Start Contract Term:  Immediate start through August 2026, with opportunity to extend Schedule:  5 days/week on-site plus event coverage as neededCompensation: $1,110/week; Commensurate with experienceCompany and RoleThe Meatpacking District Management Association is seeking a sharp, culturally fluent Digital + Social Media Manager to own and execute our digital presence through one of the most exciting summers in New York City history, including the FIFA World Cup 2026. This is a high-visibility, hands-on contract role for a creative who thrives at the intersection of content, community, and culture.What You'll Do<ul><li>Develop and execute day-to-day social content across social channels (primarily Instagram and LinkedIn), including photography, video, and Reels</li><li>Own creative direction based on brand guidelines for all digital content: concept, capture, edit, and publish</li><li>Build and maintain website editorial content and story development</li><li>Create and distribute the neighborhood newsletter</li><li>Develop and lead a World Cup 2026 digital strategy, including real-time event coverage and activations throughout the tournament</li><li>Collaborate with internal teams and venue/brand partners on campaign content and coverage</li></ul>What You Bring<ul><li>3 to 5 years+ of social media and content management experience, ideally in hospitality, real estate, lifestyle, or urban/cultural sectors</li><li>Strong photography and video production skills; comfortable shooting and editing on-site</li><li>Proficiency in Instagram, LinkedIn, and email marketing platforms</li><li>Experience with CMS platforms for website management</li><li>A pulse on culture: you understand what makes content perform and what makes it mean something</li><li>Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, event-driven environment</li></ul>Why This Role You'll be embedded in one of New York City's most iconic commercial districts at a moment of major cultural momentum, from fashion week to the World Cup. Your work will reach a global audience of residents, tourists, brands, and media. This is a full-time temporary, contract role that has the potential to turn into full-time employment.
