In 2020 we were all cooped up inside, but for 2021 it’s time to come out and about for Pride. See what’s happening in Meatpacking this weekend as we celebrate the LGBTQ community in our neighborhood and the city.

WHAT’S HAPPENING

Hulu Presents: Pride Never Stops
June 24 – 27

For four days, Hulu will transform the High Line’s Diller – von Furstenberg Sundeck (located between 14th + 15th streets) into a Pride Sculpture Garden. Featuring LGBTQ+ storytellers, each flower sculpture will include audio recordings that create a collective soundscape for visitors to enjoy. More info here.

High Line Pride Tour
Saturday, June 26

Hear the story behind New York City’s park in the sky and the role the LGBTQ+ community played in its development. Join The High Line for a free 75-minute long tour led by a High Line Docent, a knowledgeable volunteer guide who offers you an insider’s perspective on the park’s history, design, and landscape viewed through an LGBTQ+ lens.

Note that the tour is limited to 20 people. There are no reservations and spots are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. More info here.

THRIVIA! with Thorgy Thor

From RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 8, All Stars 3, Thorgy Thor will host trivia with a different theme each week. There will be prizes, drink specials and more. RESERVE

Hosted by Kandy Muse & Xunami Muse

Kandy Muse (RPDR season 13 finalist) and her drag daughter Xunami Muse are coming in hot for season 6 of All Stars. Expect a kiki about the show during commercial breaks, lots of drinks, getting a little messy, and then a few shows after the episode. Table reservations only, so make sure to reserve a spot! Pride Celebration with Julie Mehretu

In collaboration with artist Julie Mehretu, the Whitney is celebrating Pride with a free after-hours event featuring an evening of music by DJ REBORN and refreshments on the Museum’s fifth floor terrace. Mehretu’s mid-career survey will be open for viewing in the Museum’s fifth floor Neil Bluhm Family Galleries during the event. RSVP Required

Queer History Walks

This summer the Whitney is hosting a series of free walking tours that explore the queer histories of the neighborhood surrounding the Museum. Participants will visit the former sites of bars, clubs, and public spaces and consider the intersection between artistic and sexual experimentation that occurred alongside the piers of the West Side. Register.

Vault, the newest bar in the neighborhood, located below Chelsea Market is hosting

PRIDE themed evenings all week long. Expect LGBTQ DJ’s, Drag Queen hostesses, dancers and entertainment all throughout the lounge. Book a spot on RESY.


WHAT TO WEAR
In celebration of Pride Month, FRAME has created an exclusive capsule collection to raise money for Gays + Lesbians Living in A Transgender Society (G.L.I.T.S.), a nonprofit organization dedicated to creating holistic solutions to the health and housing crisis in the LGBTQIA community.

100% of net profits from the Pride Capsule Collection will be donated to G.L.I.T.S. and is available to purchase in-store at the Meatpacking FRAME location.
