These intimate family moments, made into solid photographic works offer profound insight into the artistic thought processes of these photographers, providing rare access to quiet, private, contemplative moments that don’t often appear in their work, books or exhibitions. Are they capturing their experience as fathers, the way fatherhood has shifted their world? Or are they photographing their children’s world—or perhaps even their own childhoods reflected back at them? In truth, they are capturing all of it, seeing, feeling, and understanding it all with greater depth, now that they are fathers.
