• Create, plant, and take home your plant & pot combination with The Old Yew Plant Shop! At this plant potting workshop, The Old Yew's experts will walk you through plant selection, pot pairings, and a step-by-step, hands-on guide to potting plants with fresh soil. You will discuss ongoing care, watering, fertilizing, pruning, and future repotting. You can also ask any care questions about your current plants at home.

11 AM – 6 PM: Stroll down Washington Street to admire the chic, custom-designed scarecrows crafted by Theresa Rivera

2 PM: The Meatpacking District’s 6th Annual Dog Costume Contest. Registration will open on Tuesday, October 15 at 10 am. Onsite registration will not be available this year. Participants must register in advance to enter the Dog Costume Contest. The grand prize includes a one-night stay in a Standard King room at The Standard, High Line. Second and third-place winners will receive gift cards to Beasty Feast. All three winners will also be treated to a personalized pet portrait by artist Laura Baran.
