In this new body of work, Huhn revisits a question that has echoed through her life for over twenty-five years: “But what do I do with all this love?” The question first surfaced after a move to San Francisco from New York City — a city that, for twelve transformative years, had been her truest home. Just as she was starting a new life on the West Coast with her partner, that relationship unexpectedly ended, leaving her to grapple with loss, longing, and unspent love.

At the time, a friend gave her a magnet quoting Rilke: “Be patient toward all that is unsolved in your heart, and try to love the questions themselves…”

It would take decades for her to live into that answer.

Years later, standing alone in her studio late at night, Huhn found herself surrounded by her fingerprinted mylar sheets, their light and reflections dancing on the walls and ceiling. In that moment, the old question resurfaced — and this time, she realized she was beginning to answer it through her art.

This exhibition traces Huhn’s journey back to the freedom she discovered when she fled a psychiatric hospital in Pennsylvania and ran, literally, down a marble staircase to a new life in New York. There, she found a community of artists and dreamers who encouraged her to express her true self. She fell in love with the city — and in the city — before leaving for San Francisco to nurture that relationship.

What Do I Do With All This Love gathers these moments — flights toward freedom, heartbreaks, and the resilience to keep asking the same question — into a luminous meditation on what it means to hold, release, and transform love.
