Eight Gifts for a Very Meatpacking Holiday

BY Meatpacking BIDPUBLISHED 12.02.2025

The holidays are officially here, and with them comes the annual quest to find gifts that feel personal, thoughtful, and—ideally—local. Fortunately, Tiffany Griffin, our Director of Marketing, Events + Partnerships, knows the neighborhood inside and out.

Her eight standout selections span fragrance, fashion, design, hosting essentials, local culinary favorites, and ways to reset and recharge. Whether you’re shopping for a design enthusiast, a dedicated host, a beauty lover, or that friend who already “has everything,” you’ll find something special here.

Here are her top selections for the holiday season.

1. A new scent story has arrived in Meatpacking. The House of Amouage, founded in Oman and known for its rich, resinous, and transportive scents, has recently opened a boutique on Washington Street. We’re excited to welcome the business to the neighborhood and add to the beauty-wellness scene on Washington. The Meatpacking location is a warm, desert-inspired space that invites you to explore the line. For holiday gifting or self-discovery, the travel set trio is the perfect entry point to experience the brand with three 10 ml bottles packaged in leather cases.

Online, the trio comes pre-selected. However, in-store, you can customize it with any three scents you love.

2. The A/W ’25 line from Barton Perreira has something for everyone on your list. Thoughtful craftsmanship, beautiful materials, and a range of colors that allow you to find the perfect look to complement your personal style.

From this collection, the Crescendo frame in Tortoise Champagne / Cassis caught my eye (no pun intended), as a style that travels well from the Meatpacking streets to winter escapes with a delicate balance of edge and glam. For the movie lover, the James Bond “007” frames make a great addition with a subtle nod to their cinematic side.

3. For the design enthusiast, Herman Miller: A Way of Living is a chic addition to any home. With more than 600+ pages highlighting the legendary figures who helped make Herman Miller a leader in American design, this book captures a century of modern furniture, interiors, and the art of intentional living. A perfect coffee-table anchor for cozying up this winter season.

4. A Baccarat ice bucket changes the tone of a gathering instantly; the weight alone is extraordinary: solid, sculptural, and meant to make a statement. For anyone serious about holiday hosting, it’s the ultimate upgrade. And if you’re not in the market for at-home crystal, you can still experience the massive Zenith chandelier on Ninth Avenue as part of the Lights on the Cobbles installation. The installation is live on December 4, just in time to snap a photo and get your holiday card out.

5. “A good cheesemonger is like a trusted Sherpa—guiding you through the mountains of cheese appreciation.”

Anne Saxelby’s The New Rules of Cheese is a clever, informative read that instantly levels up your cheese knowledge — selection, serving, pairing, and how to be prepared to host or gift at a moment’s notice. And she makes one thing clear right out of the gate: Rule No. 1 is to support your local cheese shop.

With that in mind, I went straight to the Saxelby team for holiday mac & cheese recommendations. They suggested:

  • Shelburne Cheddar

  • Alpha Tolman

  • Smoked Gouda

And for something truly distinctive: Caldwell from Jasper Hill Farm is ripened in hay for a toasted, tropical flavor and available only at Saxelby’s.

6. After picking up your cheese, head to ALF Bakery, also located inside the Chelsea Local at Chelsea Market. Named “the best croissant in NYC,” ALF brings an artistry to bread and pastry that elevates any holiday spread.

From their perfectly laminated croissants to their seasonal twists and savory loaves, everything is crafted with intention. I’m a fan of the fig twist with a beautiful balance of sweetness and texture (I’ve written about it before for a reason).

Whether you’re rounding out your cheese board, setting a brunch table, or bringing a thoughtful host gift, ALF is an instant upgrade.

Note: They’re closed Monday and Tuesday, so plan your orders accordingly.

7. Winter skin deserves attention and some indulgence. A Sisley facial is targeted, transformative, and rooted in French botanical science. A true reset treatment for the season.

8. For a head start on 2026 wellness goals, Liftonic is essential. Their monthly training cycles strike a balance between repetition and progression, helping you build strength without plateauing. Efficient, challenging, and deeply energizing.
