October Starts in Meatpacking
Fall has started showing up across Meatpacking, from new seasonal drinks and wardrobes to fresh gallery walls, but there’s still enough sunshine to spend some time outside. Add a free concert on the cobbles, a limited-edition treat that disappears Sunday and one more afternoon by the Hudson, and there’s plenty worth knowing before Saturday.
The Village Trip Lands on Gansevoort Plaza
Saturday comes with a soundtrack.
The Slambovian Circus of Dreams takes over Gansevoort Plaza from 4–7 PM for a free outdoor concert, bringing The Village Trip’s signature event to a new home in Meatpacking.
The concert traditionally marks the final Saturday of the festival, and this year the cobbles are becoming the stage. Find a spot on the plaza and settle in for three hours of live music in the middle of the neighborhood.

Banter Has Brunch, Plus a Taste of Fall
Banter’s Big Breakfast lives up to its name: sourdough, avocado, poached eggs, roasted tomatoes, halloumi, bacon and mushrooms all land on the same plate.
Fall has made its way onto the drinks menu too, with a new lineup of seasonal sips now available. Come hungry and see what they’re pouring for October.
Maje Has Fall Covered
Take a look around Maje right now and you’ll get a pretty good read on what’s happening for fall.
Leather, plaid, argyle and sharp tailoring are all in the mix, with silk and fringe adding some movement. Better yet, the brand’s Friends & Family Event is happening now at its Meatpacking flagship, with 25% off select Fall-Winter 2026 styles through October 12.
If the seasonal wardrobe still needs a few pieces, consider this useful timing.
Seed + Mill Has Something Special for the Weekend
Earl Grey, tahini and lavender might not be the combination you expected this weekend.
At Seed + Mill inside Chelsea Market, Earl Grey tea is being paired with Organic Tahini and a Salted Lavender Honey Drizzle through October 5. Floral, nutty, salty and sweet all meet in one limited-edition pairing.
This weekend is your last chance to try it.
Three Artists Are on View at White Columns
One gallery, three exhibitions.
At White Columns, Mieko Meguro’s Works, New York, 2009–2026 is on view alongside Eric Spencer’s Words on my Mind and Juliette Collet’s Bobbie Cadet in the Court of the Ladybugs.
Spencer and Collet’s exhibitions remain on view through October 24, giving you three very different reasons to check in with one of the neighborhood’s longstanding spaces for contemporary art.
Little Island Is Still Holding Onto Summer
The calendar says fall. The Hudson is giving us a little more time.
Take advantage of the early-October sunshine at Little Island before waterfront afternoons start requiring a few more layers. Find a spot overlooking the river, grab one of the canned spirits available on the island and stay awhile.
The cool breeze is coming. This weekend, we’re in no rush to meet it.
