Contract Term:Â Immediate start through August 2026, with opportunity to extend
Schedule: Â 5 days/week on-site plus event coverage as needed
Compensation: $1,110/week; Commensurate with experience
Company and Role
The Meatpacking District Management Association is seeking a sharp, culturally fluent Digital + Social Media Manager to own and execute our digital presence through one of the most exciting summers in New York City history, including the FIFA World Cup 2026. This is a high-visibility, hands-on contract role for a creative who thrives at the intersection of content, community, and culture.
What You'll Do
- Develop and execute day-to-day social content across social channels (primarily Instagram and LinkedIn), including photography, video, and Reels
- Own creative direction based on brand guidelines for all digital content: concept, capture, edit, and publish
- Build and maintain website editorial content and story development
- Create and distribute the neighborhood newsletter
- Develop and lead a World Cup 2026 digital strategy, including real-time event coverage and activations throughout the tournament
- Collaborate with internal teams and venue/brand partners on campaign content and coverage
What You Bring
- 3 to 5 years+ of social media and content management experience, ideally in hospitality, real estate, lifestyle, or urban/cultural sectors
- Strong photography and video production skills; comfortable shooting and editing on-site
- Proficiency in Instagram, LinkedIn, and email marketing platforms
- Experience with CMS platforms for website management
- A pulse on culture: you understand what makes content perform and what makes it mean something
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, event-driven environment
