MOCKTAILS IN MEATPACKING

With 2023 in full swing, for some, a fresh start breeds opportunities for personal growth. Keeping the spirit of resetting in mind, many restaurants and bars around the district have developed unique mocktail menus and refreshing non-alcoholic offerings.

While inspired by Dry January, we have a hunch these herbaceous and flavor-forward beverages are sticking around for some time to come.

Coffee and Cocktails at the Gansevoort Hotel offers drinks like "Not-A-Tequila Soda" and "Not-A-Gin-and-Tonic", while the Standard Grill in the Standard Hotel serves up a "Soft Sour" cocktail made with marcona almond cordial and pineapple. Corkbuzz in Chelsea Market has created a "Somm Like it Hot" take on a spicy margarita.

More and more sober conscious events are popping- up in the nightlife scene, including a special Sober Hour Hour on January 23rd at Kobrick Coffee. In partnership with Bumble and the James Beard Foundation, Absence of Proof will be hosting a mocktail mixer with light bites and non-alc sips. The first 100 people to arrive will be admitted.
